Job description

The Chair is responsible for the leadership of the Panel and is expected to guide discussions and decisions to equitably carry out the objects of the Act.

This includes but is not limited to:

facilitating the effective functioning of the Panel, including good governance and a positive / effective culture and relationship with Government;

- monitoring and evaluating the Panel's performance in order to determine the extent to which it is working in line with its original purpose, including monitoring member performance; and
- facilitating open and constructive communications amongst Panel members.

The position of Chair will be filled by a person who has extensive experience in one or more of the following fields:
a) arboriculture;
b) forestry;
c) horticulture;
d) landscape architecture;
e) natural and cultural heritage.
