THE ROLE

As part of our diverse team based in Sydney CBD , you will help make a positive impact on someone's life every day. You will feel great satisfaction knowing your talent and hard work has a purpose.

The Early Intervention Manager will provide proactive, high-quality early intervention to injured workers and employers through personalised face-to-face assistance, following notification of a psychological injury. Working with the claims team this role will enable you to facilitate effective workplace-based co-ordination of a timely and safe return to work that benefits an injured worker's recovery and helps employers manage their workers' compensation obligations.

This will be a 12-month contract based in the Sydney CBD office, with flexibility to work from home.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

Meet with workers to develop a personalised plan for their return to work and rehabilitation.

Work closely with a variety of stakeholders including workers, employers and treating providers, to assist them to navigate the process of a workers compensation claim.

Provide accurate and complete information that is consistent and easy to understand (including entitlements, obligations & responsibilities).

Actively measure, monitor, and review the effectiveness of early intervention involvement.

Drive continuous improvement in the space of early intervention facilitation.

Maintain awareness of industry developments and trends and provide recommendations for changes.

ABOUT YOU

Current Driver's License (mandatory).

At least 5 years demonstrated experience in the co-ordination and facilitation of early intervention practices.

Tertiary studies in Allied health (Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, Rehabilitation, Nursing, Psychology, Rehabilitation Counselling or Exercise Science) is required.

Qualification aligned to Occupational Rehabilitation, Psychology, Case Management or Mediation.

Customer service experience.

Experience working within the workers compensation industry.

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

A strong focus on mediating and facilitating reconcilication between parties.
