Description

This role will support the Director (External Affairs) to lead and deliver integrated, responsive external communication using contemporary media practices and platforms.

In this role, you will:

Plan, develop, implement and evaluate integrated media and digital communication strategic initiatives to achieve TMR's business priorities and strategic objectives.
Manage a 24/7 media team to provide proactive and reactive digital products and services.
Build and maintain effective relationships and networks with a variety of stakeholders.
Scan the environment, identify and analyse major and sensitive issues.
Oversee the preparation and execution of the external communication teams' strategies and initiatives in response to mitigate risk and ensure brand integrity.
Assist with providing specialist and strategic advice to executives, stakeholders and other departmental representatives on complex media, crisis management and disaster response.
Oversee the media team's preparation of strategic and complex external communication materials, including but not limited to speeches, talking points, media inquiries, campaign and event materials, statements, emergency and disaster messaging and other public materials.
Oversee and manage the development, implementation and evaluation of strategies to create and sustain a safe and healthy workplace culture, optimise resource investment and performance and deliver efficient and effective customercentric products and services.
