Great entry opportunity for medical receptionists seeking casual work. Opportunity to work for a university owned clinic and learn on the job.
THE ROLE- Casual appointment, flexible availability- Location: Macquarie University Hospital (North Ryde) location- Competitive hourly rate. Training provided.
The Role
We are currently seeking an experienced receptionists to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment on a casual basis.
The role will be responsible for the provision of high-quality reception and administrative support within the Specialist Medical clinic (_Clinical Trials and Oncology_).
Key accountabilities include (not limited to):
- Provide best practice reception and administrative services for the Clinic and its activities following Clinic protocols.
- Manage the booking of appointments to ensure effective use of clinic rooms for clinicians and student placements.
- Manage a high volume of inbound and outbound calls with courtesy and empathy.-
- Process client registrations, referrals, invoices and refunds, including processing claims for third party funding programs.
- Ensure accurate data entry of client information and records whilst preserving confidentiality and privacy.
- Respond to, or appropriately escalate, queries from staff, visitors, and members of the public about the Clinic and its activities.
You will have previous reception and administration experience. Experience within a healthcare setting is desirable but not essential.
You will be an enthusiastic and professional individual who enjoys interacting with clients to provide best practice customer service in each interaction.
You will enjoy working in a lively environment, have excellent organisational skills, and the ability to prioritise work whilst maintaining a high level of accuracy.

- preferably in a healthcare setting.
- Demonstrated sound verbal and written communication skills, and the ability to build rapport with clients.

- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and contribute to a positive team culture.
- Understanding of privacy and confidentiality principles.
