As the Stores Supervisor you will play an integral part in the development of processes and implementation of strategies to align Stores and Cleaning personnel activities with Strategic Refinery business plans.


You will be key in the protection of assets and passionate about meeting customer service requirements through continual process improvement utilizing Alcoa Business Systems.

This position involves the Supervision of various personnel including Group leader's, Stores officers and contract cleaners.


We are looking for someone that is confident in ensuring that all personnel comply with appropriate methods, safe working practices, EHS, environmental & statutory requirements and standards, and Sox financial audit standards.


Other duties include;- Supervises stores department functional operation, Alcoa cleaning department, and Contract cleaning.- Constantly review of work practices, procedures and systems to achieve max efficiency and service levels, whilst reducing cost and waste.- Accounts for all materials delivered into stores to ensure all receipted materials are acknowledged in a timely manner.

Ensuring

  • ASAT / SOX standards are met.
  • Drives and develops crew business planning activities, including daily visual management and 5s to complement Refinery and corporate A3's and business directives.
  • Functional implementation of business processes
  • REX materials management Eam / Rtp / Ebs processes.
  • Accommodation of objectives of working capital and Inventory strategies emanating from Corporate and Management plans and decisions.
  • Ensure compliance with corporate and statutory safety requirements, including auditing, department / crew safety planning and performance monitoring. Includes subcontractors.
  • Ensures all department personnel and subContractors meet total compliance with applicable Statutory Laws, Regulations, Permits and Internal Standards to meet Alcoa Environmental Policy and standards ensures full compliance with auditing.
  • Responsible for general freight and cleaning process to both meet customer service levels and corporate cost objectives, including continuous performance monitoring, leads cost reduction activity and regular supplier interaction to achieve objectives and goals.
About you

To be successful in this role and to play a part in our ongoing success you will have:

  • Development of storage layouts and strategies including provision of handling equipment and resources.
  • Material handling methods and safe working practises within a warehouse operations environment.
  • Previous experience in stores processes ensuring a safe, efficient and economical manner
  • Prompt customer service and attention to safeguarding the company's investment in goods being stored.
  • Experience in managing a team.
