HOBAN Recruitment is currently partnering with a respected
VIC Local Council in the search for a highly capable individual to join as a
Gardener located in
Braeside, VIC.


What's in it for you:


  • 3month assignment
- $33.65 per hour + super

  • Based in Braeside, VIC

About the role:


  • Gardeners are required to carry out general horticulture maintenance activities in the establishment and beautification of Councils open spaces. Having an eye for detail, the incumbent must be passionate about plants and landscape management.
  • Working in a crew of likeminded people, Gardeners need to be selfmotivated and is responsible for the quality, quantity and timeliness of allocated work performance with mínimal supervision.

Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Undertake a broad range of horticulture maintenance tasks in accordance with agreed standards.
  • Ensure all work performed is in accordance with safety practices and standards, by using protective equipment and clothing, erecting barricades, and signs, and leaving sites in a clean and safe condition.
  • Work with relevant community groups in open space to undertake horticulture activities
  • Take direction from Senior Gardener to ensure programmed works and customer request are completed and reported on promptly.
  • Take responsibility for ensuring Councils open spaces are clean, safe and welcoming.

Qualifications and Experience:


  • Undertake and maintain a current National Criminal Records Check
  • Hold and maintain a Working with Children Check
  • Gardening experience preferred however not mandatory
  • Must hold a valid Australian Drivers Licence. MR licence desirable
