    Job description:
  • To lead and manage the Stakeholder Engagement function within the Stakeholder Communications Branch and provide expert advice and development and delivery of stakeholder engagement strategies for the State Roads Division.

Duties:


  • Lead and manage the stakeholder engagement team to build and nurture a highperformance culture that develops and delivers effective and professional stakeholder engagement strategies. This includes developing and implementing strategies to improve the stakeholder engagement skills of consultants and contractors working on behalf of the Division.
  • Ensure relevant and effective stakeholder engagement strategies are designed and deployed, including those developed and delivered by external consultants and contractors. This includes ensuring appropriate briefs are developed, and a strong focus on ongoing monitoring, reviewing and reporting on strategies.
  • Monitor the environment that State Roads operates within and anticipate and maintain an awareness of matters that may impact on projects and provide expert advice and strategies to prevent and/or manage complex stakeholder issues.
  • Work alongside the Team Leader Communications to ensure an integrated and collaborative approach to delivering stakeholder engagement and communications activities.
  • Develop, implement, maintain and review appropriate systems, policies, processes and procedures to support effective and efficient stakeholder engagement activities; and project manage related business improvement projects.

Desirable Requirements:


  • A degree in stakeholder engagement/communications or similar equivalent qualification.
  • Experience in stakeholder engagement for infrastructure delivery in a public sector environment.
