Description

CBH Group have an exciting opportunity to join our Australian Grain Centre in Forrestfield on a casual basis.- Grain Technicians (Physical Lab); and- Laboratory Grain Technicians (Reference Lab).

These casual positions will commence from September and will be responsible for:

Grain Technicians (Physical Lab):

Sample registration, collection, processing and dispatch
processing both upcountry and port samples;
Various grain quality assessments as required from internal and external customers;
Adhering to laboratory policies and procedures; and
Ensure high standard of quality and consistency in analytical testing.

Laboratory Grain Technicians (Reference Lab) will also be responsible for:

Sample preparation and extraction for LCMS based chemical residue analysis;
Carrying out other quality tests as required such as gluten analysis, oil content analysis, LECO protein analysis and GM strip testing; and
Recording and reporting certain quality results.
Attention to detail;
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills;
Ability to work independently and within a team environment;
Demonstrated organisational and time management skills; and
Previous experience in grain sampling / laboratory analysis work.

The following skills are desirable in both roles:

Forklift licence;
Previous experience within a NATA accredited lab;
Analytical and problem solving skills;
LCMS experience;
Demonstrated capacity to use Excel including basic formula functions to carry out statistical analysis; and
CBH Sampling certificate.
