The Opportunity


This role is responsible for the overall operation and success of the reliability and maintenance team at the Virginia plant.

The Site Reliability & Maintenance Manager will oversee the Maintenance strategy for the site and lead their team to deliver site Preventative Maintenance Program and Site Capital Projects in line with safety, quality and financial requirements.


The Accountabilities

  • Ensure all team activities are carried out within the scope of relevant company WH&S policies and procedures and within legislative requirements to achieve targets
  • Accurately monitor and encourage behaviour that recognises the importance of safety, quality and excellence in all aspects of work and drives a continuous improvement culture
  • Work with the Operations leaders and other functional leaders in developing the forecast and establishment of Plant requirements, work schedules, equipment layout and production methods
  • Participate in projects associated with site modification and/or expansion; plant modification, improvement, or replacement; increased or altered storage and warehousing
  • Ensure Engineering/Maintenance costs are within budgets and that appropriate initiatives are developed and implemented to reduce costs while maintaining a quality of maintenance focus.
  • Actively collaborate with the Site Operations Manager in relation to planning, production, quality, safety and other operational matters. Ensuring the Maintenance Team is supporting the Operational requirements of the Virginia Site.

  • Qualification in Engineering
  • Demonstrated capability to think strategically, establish and deliver the reliability strategy for the site, in alignment with operations, reliability strategy across the network and capital planning
  • Experience working in a unionised environment, with the ability to build strong relationships with relevant stakeholders.
  • Extensive experience in managing large trades teams, engineers and reliability teams on complex sites.
  • Strong focus on prioritising safety and quality
