Systems Analyst - Brisbane, Australia - Queensland Health
Description
Key responsibilities include:
- Maintain defined enterprise service levels by providing high level Information Communications and Technology (ICT) technical expertise, quality technical support and adhering to departmental standards, policies, procedures and Information Technology Service Management (ITSM) processes.
- Assist management in the decision making process and assessment of the impact of change by preparing technical reports, specifications, trends analyses, etc.
- Assist in continuous improvement of system procedures and practices by liaising and consulting with all stakeholders to determine how well the system is meeting their requirements.
- Participate in the identification and delivery of additional training requirements for QRIS through communication and consultation with relevant stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to identify and analyse problems associated with information management systems, and to develop remedial strategies and implement recommendations.
- Ability to design, deliver and evaluate training programs and services, including knowledge of staff development, training theory and needs analysis techniques.
- High level oral and written communication skills including a demonstrated ability to prepare and present complex, significant reports.
- Interpersonal and negotiation skills appropriate to an environment of change and evolution.
- Proven ability to maintain confidentiality and handle information of a sensitive nature in a continuously reforming environment.
- Knowledge of and commitment to human resource management principles, including equal employment opportunities, antidiscrimination and workplace health and safety.
Specific Working Conditions:
- Travel within the state is a requirement of this position.
- Formal training in medical Informatics and/or other relevant areas would be favourably considered.
- An open 'C' class driver's licence is desirable.
- Extensive knowledge of medical informatics systems with an emphasis on imaging.
- Availability as point of escalation on a 24x7 basis where major service interruptions occur out of hours is a requirement of this position.
