The Organisation
Wahl (pronounced 'WALL') is a global leader in the grooming/styling industry and in the pet segment. Our brand and products are seen in barber shops, salons, and pet stores nationally, and in the retail sector.

We are proud to be still family owned out of the USA - we invented the hair clipper in 1919, and we continue to carry forward the tradition of innovation and superior customer service to this day.

This is a newly created role from the organisation focusing on the Australian and New Zealand market.

Wahl is looking to grow their D2C offering and therefore is building an eCommerce solution to supply to both B2B and B2C customers.


The Role
As the eCommerce Manager, this role will report directly into the Managing Director and is responsible for the following:


  • Elevate eCommerce Presence: Take charge of trading activities on various eCommerce platforms, including our own online store and retail marketplace, to boost Wahl's online presence.

Amazon ANZ Ownership: Own and nurture the Wahl brand's relationship with Amazon ANZ, ensuring it thrives in the competitive landscape.

KPI-driven Revenue Growth: Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) within the channel and proactively devise strategies to align revenue growth with sales targets.

Data Insights Expertise: Be the go-to person for analysing and providing valuable insights from reporting and feedback data.

Collaborative Strategy: Collaborate closely with regional teams to develop strategic marketing and eCommerce plans that resonate with our audience.

Website Optimisation: Lead the charge in optimizing our website for customer conversion, enhancing content, user experience, and the overall customer journey.

CMS Management: Take ownership of the Wahl Australia website and associated content management system (CMS).

Ecommerce Platform Development: Develop and manage our Ecommerce platform and online shop to ensure seamless functionality and an exceptional customer experience.

Digital Engagement Initiatives: Spearhead initiatives aimed at increasing website traffic, enhancing customer engagement, and boosting conversion rates.

Sales Strategy: Craft, execute, and continually refine innovative online sales strategies that keep us at the forefront of the industry.


The Experience

  • Proven experience with the eCommerce industry at senior level, including establishing and optimising onsite and marketplace presences.
  • Previously worked with Amazon as a marketplace seller.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to work in a fastpaced environment.
  • Experience in providing expertise in digital marketing and advertising technology.
  • Strong commercial focus with a proven track record of driving brand and business growth through sales.
  • Solid understanding of eCommerce metrics and analytics data.
  • Ability to draw insights and make recommendation and implement changes to online store to maximise sales, conversion rate and average order values.
  • Collaborative and open work style, a team player.

The Opportunity

  • Join a longstanding global business whose products are sold in approximately 165 countries worldwide with seven global manufacturing facilities as well as eleven sales offices.
  • Newly created role suited to a senior eCommerce professional looking to create their ANZ online offering.
  • Role located at their Australian Head Office in Acacia Ridge (Southern suburbs of Brisbane).
