An exciting and unique opportunity exists for a talented and highly motivated individual to join the Delivery and Strategy Branch as a Manager, Behavioural Insights Unit (BIU).

The Delivery and Strategy Branch works across government to track and support delivery of priority government initiatives and develop solutions to priority cross-portfolio policy issues.


In this role you will be responsible for developing the skills and capabilities of the individual Behavioural Insights Unit members, managing corporate functions such as budget and HR and strategically engaging with departments and agencies in the Victorian government and externally to maximise the reputation of the BIU.


Please note that Government policy experience and the ability to translate behavioural science findings into policy reforms would be highly regarded.


About you

  • Ability to identify and diagnoses emerging issues, obstacles, opportunities and strategic implications for the BIU in the context of whole of government priorities
  • High level management skills, with experience leading a team ensuring workload allocation, professional development and wellbeing needs Proven ability to manage projects and promote team work
  • Highlydeveloped interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrated experience communicating verbally and in written documentation technical knowledge to a nontechnical audience
