Work based in
Melbourne's inner west. Locals preferred.
BCT Group are looking for a Site Manager to help manage extensions and renovations on our residential construction sites. The key roll is autonomous management of multiple projects from contract signing to handover.
You will work with a supportive management team as you build high-quality homes on time and on budget in Melbourne's inner west.
BCT Group has a sound & proven construction process to ensure goals are met. Training will be provided on internal systems and processes.
As well as managing trades, you will be leading our team of carpenters, apprentices and labourers who will look to you for assistance troubleshooting issues or advice on technical details.
Key Details
- Manage a maximum of 8 work sites at once
- Build times of 6 months keep things fresh
- occasional project in the Geelong or Macedon regions
- Majority renovations and extensions, occasional new build
- Carpentry site teams are employed by BCT Group
- Established relationships with our supplier and trade force
- Working side by side with a supportive construction manager and a collaborative management team

The Tasks
You must be confident on a computer and have experience managing and scheduling work sites.
- get an understanding of a project and establish a game plan by file splitting a job weeks before commencement
- call up all trades and materials
- visit each site every day to track progress and quality
- manage our site teams of carpenters and labourers
- manage our external trades
- keep schedules up to date
- learn and use our software Co Construct for all aspects of site management
- manage invoices
- manage time sheet entries for BCT site staff
- update budgets throughout the project
- involved in Wednesday work flow meetings
- liaise with clients when the need arises
Our Company
BCT Group is an architectural design and construction company. Established in 2012, our primary focus is extensions and renovations mainly in the inner west.
Majority of our builds are designed by our in house architects, but we also build for external designers and architects.
Our onsite teams work on a build from start to finish, taking care of each stage from demo and base to frame, lockup up, fix and fit off.
Our office is in Kingsville.
Our office based team comprises of business development, architectural & interior design, estimating, contracts & permits, operations, accounts, finance & planning and communications & marketing.
Our construction team is led by 2 project managers, project carpenters, qualified carpenters, apprenticesand laborers. Overall team number is currently 35.
We also offer a pathway to domestic builders' registration if you desire.

Pay:
$115, $120,000.00 per year
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday
Experience:
Site Management: 3 years (required)
- Professional Carpentry (if any): 1 year (preferred)
- Renovation: 1 year (preferred)
Licence/Certification:
- Full Driver Licence (required)
- White Card (required)
Work Authorisation:
- Australia (required)
Work Location:
