About the role

What's the opportunity?

The primary purpose of this new role is to play an integral part in the timely delivery of projects which will engage, empower and inform parents and carers in their children's school education.

Working with a dynamic team, the role will involve a variety of work and projects from support for webinars, surveys, website information updates and a new online community to the preparation of reports and coordination of database development and stakeholder registers.

Reporting to the Stakeholder Engagement Manager, responsibilities will see you:

  • Assist in strategic project planning and reporting for the Parent & Carer Engagement Program
  • Work with your manager to plan, develop and implement stakeholder engagement projects and program activities, including surveys, focus groups, webinars, publications and other associated activities
  • Set up and coordinate meetings with stakeholders (external and internal) and maintain a professional approach to engagement
  • Maintain and update stakeholder engagement registers and CRM information
  • Collate and research information, and write reports and meeting notes where required
  • Coordinate database development and segmentation to align with program strategies
  • Provide recommendations to inform engagement strategies with P&C Associations and broader parents and carer communities
  • Coordinate activities with external service providers
What you will bring to the role

You will have strong analytical and organisational skills with a proven record of successfully influencing and engaging others and are passionate about understanding the interests of parents and carers.

A strong customer-centric focus will ensure the establishment of working relationships, seeking advice from others as required.

  • Proven project management and time management skills
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Experience in developing surveys, analysis and report writing (Survey Monkey)
  • An understanding of NSW public school parent and carer communities and P&C Associations is desirable
  • Tertiary qualification/s in a related field
