An exciting opportunity for an Executive Manager - Corporate Responsibility (Human Rights and Ethical Sourcing) has become available within the National Buying department of ALDI Stores, based in Minchinbury.


As an Executive Manager - Corporate Responsibility, you will be passionate about Human Rights and Ethical Sourcing, providing effective consultancy and delivering initiatives to support ALDI's ethical sourcing strategies, policies, and processes.


What does the role look like?

  • Contribute to the continuous development of ALDI's national sustainability framework
  • Implement ALDI's international and national human rights and ethical sourcing strategies
  • Monitor ethical sourcing and social compliance in line with ALDI's standards
  • Engage with third party auditors to identify and resolve risks, and nonconformances
  • Manage national and international sustainability reporting functions, including the preparation of Modern Slavery reports and benchmarking analysis
  • Collaborate with the international ALDI business to develop and implement strategy, and share learnings
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including supply chain partners, auditing bodies, and NGOs


  • Support the Director

  • Corporate Responsibility and assist in making and implementing necessary decisions

What we need from you?

  • Experience in human rights and modern slavery topics is highly regarded, including knowledge of social audit standards, programs and tools, and the Australian regulatory framework (i.e. Modern Slavery Act, Fair Work Act)
  • Experience in strategy, policy and process development and implementation
  • Previous experience executing change management initiatives
  • Demonstrated people management and coaching skills
  • Strong stakeholder engagement with the ability to manage projects
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to work both collaboratively and autonomously
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Knowledge of national and international product supply chains, buying and procurement operations
This role reports to the Director - Corporate Responsibility.
