About the Role
We are currently seeking a Business Development Leader - Geospatial.

The Business Development Manager is responsible for the generation and management of a sustainable pipeline of work that reflects the vision and objectives of the business strategy and underpins the sustainable growth and profit of the geospatial business.

Day to day tasks would involve:

Support implementation of the strategic direction for the business unit, specifically assuming responsibility for the development and maintenance of a sustainable pipeline of work.
Work closely with the business leadership team to establish an approach for developing/ sustaining client relationships and identify capabilities to meet current and future client requirements.
Engage with clients and industry groups in our key sectors to anticipate potential business opportunities and implement actions that will position and differentiate Stantec.
Ensure that the pipeline for the business unit is actively managed, via the inclusion of new opportunities and the maintenance of existing opportunities.
Develop an understanding of the market, business and project drivers for the sectors serviced by the business unit, clients and potential opportunities and integrate this into the business development planning and actions.
Preparation of Fee Proposals with the appropriate input from the team.

Qualifications

To be successful for this role you'll need:

The position will generally require a degree qualification in an appropriate profession.
Existing network of contacts within relevant sectors and services lines aligned to the business unit at the regional and/ or national level.
Ability to seek and develop new relationships to achieve strategic business objectives, and ability to convert client relationships into opportunities for the business.
Highlevel understanding of trends, challenges, expectations and opportunities for the market focus areas most relevant to the business unit.
Strong interpersonal, influencing, negotiation skills and demonstrated leadership experience and capability.
Ability to work in a team environment.
