An exciting opportunity with a reputable independent Australian law firm who is seeking a Finance Assistant to join their friendly team.
This is a great opportunity for someone who wants to kickstart their finance career and gain knowledge from a variety of finance duties.
You will play a significant role in providing administrative support to the finance team and be rewarded with a truly positive work culture and hybrid working arrangement.
Key responsibilities:
- Responding to daytoday enquiries and providing assistance to the Accounts team
- Accounts payable and accounts receivable duties
- Ensuring daily processing and payment of creditor invoices
- Managing appropriate authorisation of creditor invoices and cheques drawn
- Daily banking and data entry
- Performing daily bank reconciliations
- Filling in for Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable or Controlled Monies when required
- Other administrative tasks where appropriate
You will have:
- Minimal administrative experience with interest in finance welcome to apply
- Prior education in the accounting and finance field will be ideal
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to show initiative and a strong team player
