An exciting opportunity with a reputable independent Australian law firm who is seeking a Finance Assistant to join their friendly team.

This is a great opportunity for someone who wants to kickstart their finance career and gain knowledge from a variety of finance duties.

You will play a significant role in providing administrative support to the finance team and be rewarded with a truly positive work culture and hybrid working arrangement.


Key responsibilities:


  • Responding to daytoday enquiries and providing assistance to the Accounts team
  • Accounts payable and accounts receivable duties
  • Ensuring daily processing and payment of creditor invoices
  • Managing appropriate authorisation of creditor invoices and cheques drawn
  • Daily banking and data entry
  • Performing daily bank reconciliations
  • Filling in for Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable or Controlled Monies when required
  • Other administrative tasks where appropriate

You will have:


  • Minimal administrative experience with interest in finance welcome to apply
  • Prior education in the accounting and finance field will be ideal
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to show initiative and a strong team player
