Your new role
We have a great opportunity for a Corporate Planning and Reporting Officer in our Strategy and Transformation department.

This position is responsible for coordinating Council's quarterly reporting process, and the development of Knox's Annual Report, including sourcing and collating organisational data and liaising with Finance and Communications for the delivery of the report.

This role will also collate and prepare data for the Local Government Performance Reporting Framework (LGPRF) for internal monitoring, audit and annual reporting (both for Council and to the State Government).

This role will administer Council's Corporate Reporting tool, and provide ongoing system support for the organisation.

This role will also be required to assist with development of the Community and Council Plan, service planning, and business planning as required.

This is a Band 6 classified role; remuneration will be $92, $101, depending on experience) plus superannuation in accordance with the Superannuation Guarantee.


What you will need to thrive

The key selection criteria for this role are:

  • Understanding of, and experience in corporate planning and reporting and performance monitoring.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to implement process improvement based on data outcomes.
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders at varying levels across the organisation.
  • High level skills in using and administering a corporate planning and performance software package, and the capacity to work with technical staff to develop and improve systems.
  • Demonstrated experience in working with and supporting projects.
  • Skills in setting priorities and organising work schedules in order to work in a collaborative manner and achieve specific objectives for self and others in the most efficient and effective way.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and an ability to effectively communicate with others with clarity and diplomacy.
  • Personal values and behaviours that align with Knox City Council's values and behaviours.
