Specifically, your duties will include:


  • Process timesheet in accordance with the guidelines as outlined in Industrial instrument (Award and or Agreement);
  • Use technology and software as required by the company;
  • Prepare Monthly & Quarterly Superannuation reports for upload to Clearing House;
  • Prepare Q Leave reports for payment;
  • Prepare Payroll Tax reports for lodgement and payment;
  • Prepare departmental payroll costing reports
  • Actuals Vs Budget, Leave, Overtime, Casual usage;
  • Log PAYG for fortnightly pays on payment template;
  • Complete all relevant payroll tasks for Employee startups (onboardings) and Terminations;
  • Monitor and resolve payroll discrepancies and issues;
  • Support management with Roster Costings to enable Strategic Roster alignment in accordance with site budgets;
  • Run payroll reports to support Finance department e.g.monthly costing journal, Accruals reports;
  • Maintain Payroll System & Employee HR Files;
  • Liaise with Government departments in relation to Centrelink, Child Support, Qleave and any WorkCover payments;
  • Other necessary Payroll administrative duties;
  • Other tasks as requested by the company from time to time.

Skills and Experience

  • Tertiary qualification in Finance or Payroll related role (desirable)
  • 25 years payroll processing experience
  • Cleaning, Security or FM business experience _(desirable)_
  • Kronos software experience _(desirable)_
  • ADP Payroll experience _(desirable)_
  • Microsoft Office _knowledge_
  • An innovative mindset
  • Strong communication skills both written and verbal.
  • Time management skills that ensure the ontime and diligent carrying out of all taskings
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
