The roleAs an Administration Officer - Operational Support Clerk with RSQ you are a critical member of the frontline clinical and operational services.

The role is required to work closely with the clinical staff to provide administrative support for the delivery of telehealth models of care to rural and remote Queensland, and aeromedical retrievals across Queensland.


Key responsibilities include:

  • Prepare and distribute agendas for meetings, book facilities, schedule meetings, minute meetings and assist with the production of online resources.
  • Respond to general enquiries by answering incoming telephone calls and ensuring accurate transfer of calls, messages and information to support patient and staff.
  • As the primary administrative contact, assist RSQ's multidisciplinary clinical team and provide effective and courteous support.
  • Data entry of patient referrals, ensuring accuracy of patient information across health systems.
  • Contribute to patient flow efficiencies of RSQ referrals by liaising with a range of staff to coordinate appointments, resources, paperwork and movements on behalf of staff and patients.
  • Support all staff with computer and software queries including telehealth consultations.


RSQ is a 24/7 clinical service, and this role will be required to work across 7 days and 24 hours in a fair and equitable roster.


The successful personYou will have:


  • Ability to consistently deliver a high level of data accuracy, customer service, demonstrating rapport building skills, listening skills and empathy.
  • Experience working with innovative technologies in the health care setting, particularly in relation to videoconference enabled clinical services.
  • Highlevel organisational and prioritisation skills and the ability to work autonomously in a selfdirected manner while contributing to patient flow and the aeromedical environment.


About usThe QAS Division operates as a statewide service within Department of Health and is accountable for the delivery of pre-hospital ambulance response services, emergency and non-emergency pre-hospital patient care and transport services, inter-facility ambulance transport, aeromedical retrieval services, emergency telehealth clinical support models, confidential health assessment and information services, casualty room services and planning and coordination of multi-casualty incidents and disasters to the Queensland community.
