About the role


As the Fundraising and Marketing Manager, you will lead the delivery of Cancer Council's iconic fundraising campaigns and events across the ACT, which include Australia's Biggest Morning Tea, Daffodil Day, and Relay for Life.

You will develop and deliver strategies to actively promote the Cancer Council's prevention and support services while leading the Fundraising and Marketing.

  • The Cancer Council works across all areas of cancer, from research to prevention and support.
The Role


Key responsibilities include:

  • Engage with our fundraising strategy to guide the team's work and make recommendations for improvement.
  • Guide and mentor members of the Fundraising and Marketing Team in their professional development
  • Work with the Client Services team to support and promote their activities and events
  • Strengthen and enhance ROI for fundraising campaigns and appeals
  • Enhance individual donor relations and grow acquisitions
  • Employ your strong relationship management skills to build and maintain positive relationships with local businesses, media outlets, and MLAs
  • Engage and collaborate with the wider Cancer Council Federation through relevant committee participation
The Ideal Person

You will have over 3 years of demonstrated experience in a fundraising and marketing manager position.

You will also have the following:

  • Experience in leading fundraising campaigns and donor relations
  • Experience in leading a team, with demonstrated ability to coach and mentor team members with diverse levels of experience
  • Experience in implementing communications strategies, including writing, editing and storytelling for different audiences and for different mediums and channels such as video, social media, websites, traditional media and print.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects with competing deadlines
  • Willingness to pitch in and help with public events and programs
Salary / Rate
- $90,000 - $100, % super + PBI benefits

  • Work from home flexibility available.
  • Additional three days of annual leave over Christmas
  • Permanent fulltime opportunity (76 hours per fortnight)
