About the Position

  • Based in Brisbane office and reporting to the Team Leader Procurement
  • Onshore D&C and working closely with the Procurement Category Lead
  • Wellsite Services, this position develops and delivers specialist procurement category support for Onshore Drilling and Completions. This is a market facing role with interaction with some of Santos' largest suppliers and works in a wellestablished diverse and collaborative team.

Key accountabilities include:

  • Leading procurement and commercial activities (strategy, sourcing, negotiation, and post award support) for a significant portfolio of high value multiasset/service contracts with international and local service providers
  • Contribute to procurement category plans and market intelligence in support of longterm company safety, sustainability, production and unit cost targets
  • Developing commercial acumen in a highly active operating environment including interaction with Joint Venture partner approvals
  • Identifying and supporting sustainability objectives through procurement process including emissions reduction and local content
  • Providing guidance and assurance to stakeholders on Santos and JV approval requirements
  • Maintaining supply chain assurance and compliance for assigned contracts
  • Supporting procuretopay activities for assigned contracts
  • Understanding change and performance mindset and contribute to continuous improvement
  • Effective and timely collaboration with internal and external stakeholders

About You

  • You will be experienced in:
  • Full procurement lifecycle activities, ideally within drilling and completions contracting or a technical environment
  • Operating systems to manage and analyse contacts and procurement data, with SAP or similar advantageous
  • Developing and maintaining positive and trusting relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Working with technical professionals to source products and services
  • Contributing to business improvements and delivering change to benefit your stakeholders and professional efficiencies, through a continuous improvement mindset
  • Ideally, you will be degree qualified in supply chain, law, commerce or engineering, and/or demonstrate sound experience within directly relevant role(s), within large corporate environments.
