Purpose of the role
Undertake routine processes and procedures to assist in providing clients with quality client nursing and disability support services, taking a person-centred approach in line with the customer service framework and in compliance with the organisation's policies, processes and procedures, to meet the National Standards for Disability Services and all regulatory and legislative requirements

Today, we are a registered NDIS provider offering integrated clinical, health, social and disability services in accommodation, community participation, supported employment and support coordination services in the Greater Sydney and in Northern Rivers regions in NSW.


About the role
In this role, some of the key responsibilities include:

  • Undertake a range of routine nursing and general support duties to assist clients in implementing Individual Support Plans.
  • Complete routine and ad hoc cleaning tasks as required.
  • Deliver best practice routine support duties to clients in line with contemporary nursing practice and disability service standards.
  • Use positive behaviour support and active support approaches when working with clients and comply with the use of restrictive practices.
  • Contribute to building and maintaining strong internal and external stakeholder relationships, (including families and carers), to address practical issues, enhance operational efficiency and meet client's requirements.
  • Always maintain confidentiality and professional conduct to ensure professional boundaries are respected and maintained

About you

  • Relevant qualifications (minimum Cert IV in Disability or Individual Support)
  • Sound interpersonal, role modelling and customer service skills.
  • Ability to problem solve and adapt to changing environments.
  • Understanding and commitment to the Disability Service Standards and WHS.
  • Understanding of human rights and the challenges facing those with a disability.
  • Current P2 Drivers Licence and above
  • Experience in working with and supporting adults deemed as having significant complexity in their lives.
