Join our Credit Risk team, the independent risk management team of Banking and Financial Services, and enjoy playing a key role in the full lifecycle of credit risk management across our retail lending products.


The team you will join has responsibility for originations and default management analytics and reporting across home loans, car loans and credit cards and credit focused regulatory reporting.

Your focus will be on driving initiatives for credit regulatory reporting and managing regular reporting to APRA.

You will work in collaboration with the Personal Banking ecosystem, including product, treasury, data, and technology to align the current reporting with Prudential standards.


In this role, you will be responsible for:

  • Understanding risk data and systems and how they relate to the credit risk lifecycle
  • Understanding drivers behind trends and movements in key regulatory reporting metrics
  • Contributing to projects to enhance our regulatory reporting capability
  • Identifying and investigating trends and insights from internal data to understand and inform stakeholders of our risk profile
  • Developing, enhancing and maintaining dashboards produced within the Credit Risk team, including identifying initiatives to improve automation, managing data quality and updating technical documentation and user guides
  • Collaborating with key stakeholders, including internal data teams and the centralised risk management group
  • Providing expert advice, guidance and coaching to less qualified and/or experienced colleagues
To be successful, you will be degree qualified in a STEM discipline i.e. Computer Science, Engineering, Maths, Statistics, Economics or another quantitative discipline.


You will also need:

  • Minimum 4+ years' experience in a riskbased role, preferably in the financial services sector
  • Experience with data analysis and visualisation tools such as SQL/Hive, Alteryx, Tableau, R Markdown and so on.
  • Experience with at least one scripting language i.e. R, SAS, SQL, VBA or Python
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to multitask and be flexible, and the ability to work individually as well within a team
