Due to a consistent rate of company growth, which is paving the way for further expansion into local markets, we currently have a requirement for an Electrical & Instrumentation Project Lead to join us on a full-time basis in our Murarrie, Brisbane based office.


Description:


Responsibilities:

Achieve regional financial and non-financial performance objectives, KPI's and growth targets set by the General Manager.
Provide highly effective leadership and support to field teams to meet project and company objectives.

Assist the Project Manager undertake management and administrative duties to ensure the Technical Services value streams runs effectively and efficiently, including maintaining the set overhead budget.

Work with clients (current and new) to develop a sustainable project opportunity pipeline in the region.
Manage and enhance current client relationships and contracts through building extreme value
Ensure all RFT/RFQ pricing is accurate and aligned to regional targets
Identify new project opportunities through sound Business Development activity while achieving BD Targets

Manage and lead all regional projects to ensure successful outcomes are achieved, client requirements are met, and their expectations exceeded.

Ensure compliance with regard to company and client safety and quality KPI's
Work with Recruitment team to identify, source, and build resource levels to meet resource demand
Build a strong network of local suppliers and subcontractors
Provide technical support, training, and guidance to field teams in problem solving and overcoming project challenges.
Project Invoicing and following up on aged receivables
Estimating, generating scopes of work, and supporting regional tender submissions
Developing strong relationships with local industry groups
Ensure all critical weekly task and KPI's are complete and recorded appropriately set by the Project Manager
Any other task as an assigned by the Project Manager


Skills and Experiences:

Experience & Knowledge

Minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar role

  • Proven leadership experience and ability to motivate and support field teams.
  • Lead onsite teams during planned and unplanned maintenance activities.
Experience in Electrical Instrumentation Services

EEHA Hazardous Area Inspections
LV / ELV Electrical Installations
Critical Function Testing - Fire and Gas
Instrument Loop and Function Testing
Instrumentation Commissioning
Instrument tubing fitting and repairs (Swagelok)
Flow, pressure, vibration, temperature, analytical, level and position instrumentation maintenance and checks.
HART and foundation fieldbus protocol
Field Calibrations
Valve Stroking
High Level Fault Finding
SCADA/PLC/Distributed Control System
Process Control Instrumentation & Metering Skids

Experience with business development, CRM platforms and working through a sales process
Client focused, driven to meet internal and external customer needs and expectations
Solid understanding of the relevant engagement mechanisms for commercial contracts and managing the scope, governance, and compliance of contracts
Experience in managing work scopes and working closely with clients to build meaningful business relationships
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Execution and solution focused; ability to close out multiple issues by quickly identifying the core issues, identifying a solution, and implementing corrective actions in an effective and timely manner
Ability to establish and maintain cooperative and productive working relationships with stakeholders at all levels internally and externally
Strong commercial acumen

Qualifications Required

Project Management/Business Management Diploma or equivalent proven experience
UEE30811 Certificate III in Electrotechnology Electrician or equivalent
UEE31211 Certificate III in Instrumentation and Control
UEE42622 Certificate IV in Hazardous Areas - Electrical

Qualifications Desired

BSB50420 Diploma of Leadership and Management
UEE51020 Diploma of Instrumentation and Control Engineering
Swagelok certificate
