  • Our Assets and Infrastructure directorate is responsible for leading, planning, delivering and managing the development in Georges River Council including delivering new infrastructure, services including responding to residential, commercial and industrial growth.

The directorate Business Units consist of:

About the Opportunity


Georges River Council is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic Coordinator Engineering to join the team to lead the design and construction management of Council's civil and building infrastructure projects.

As the Coordinator Engineering, you will manage a team of design, civil and building project engineers who are responsible for implementing Council's Capital Works Program.

This includes new traffic facilities, roads and footpaths, stormwater, sporting/public amenities and other Council buildings.

  • Permanent, Full-Time 35 hours per week
  • Salary from $123, $142,860.89 per annum plus 10.5% superannuation
  • 3.5% Civil Liability Allowance

Knowledge, Skills and Qualifications

  • Tertiary qualifications in civil engineering, construction or equivalent field.
  • Registered Professional Engineer or should be eligible for registration as a Professional Engineer in accordance with the NSW registration laws.
  • Current Class C Drivers Licence
  • Construction Induction (White Card)
  • Demonstrated ability to manage resources and promote a team environment to achieve team, and broader business objectives.
  • Significant relevant experience in financial, people, construction and management.
  • Experience in preparing surveys and designs for civil infrastructure works.
  • Experience in civil and building construction works.
  • Demonstrated experience using AutoCad, Civil Site Design and Autocad Civil.
  • Sound knowledge of project management practices and procedures.
  • Demonstrated experience in public consultation process and conflict resolution skills.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation and problemsolving skills.
  • Ability to work on multiple projects with excellent time management skills.
  • Knowledge and understanding of EEO policies and procedures.
