Position Title:
Emergency Department Hospital Medical Officer


Classification:
PGY3 and above

Full Time Fixed Term (2 x 12 month positions commencing Feb 2024 or 4 x 6 month

Hospital Medical Officer (HMO) positions for 2024 offer a practical, hands on approach to junior doctor training.

Exposure to a large and varied patient base is achieved as the health service operates as the referral and trauma centre for the entire region.

The ED HMO year is designed as a stepping stone for a career Emergency Medicine.

It is considered to be a 'pre-registrar year' for PGY2+ junior doctors who are intending to enter the ACEM training program.

700 bed state of the art hospital was built in 2017.


This is is one of Victoria's fastest growing regional cities making it a great city to live and work in.

It provides services for the region's population of over 300,000 and so the city offers excellent schools, shopping and cultural precincts, sporting facilities and various tertiary facilities.


Salary:
$93, $142,260.00 per year
