Where you'll be working
Macquarie Hospital is a 195-bed mental health facility for acute admissions and rehabilitation services at North Ryde.
What you'll be doing
As part of the Environmental Services team, this position provides a cleaning service to the facility according to a predetermined service plan.
The cleaner is responsible for maintaining all surfaces, fittings, fixtures and furniture within their allocated area according to the requirements of NSW Health Cleaning of the Healthcare Environment Policy PD2020_022.

- Previous experience as a cleaner in a healthcare facility or in a commercial/industrial setting, or demonstrated ability to perform in role
- Possess effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Demonstrated ability to work as part of a team
- Knowledge of work health and safety principles, including safe manual handling and infection control
- All NSW Health workers are required to have two doses of a COVID19 vaccine, as defined by NSW Health. Employees working in a clinical area or are required to attend clinical areas are considered category A. Category A positions are required to provide evidence of having received three doses of COVID19 vaccine in accordance with the Australian Technical Advisory Group on Immunisation (TGA) and meet the requirements of the _Occupational Assessment Screening and Vaccination Against Specified Infectious Diseases Policy Directive_._
- Acceptable proof of vaccination is the Australian Immunisation Register (AIR) Immunisation History Statement or AIR COVID19 Digital Certificate._
