The Senior Risk Manager is critical to making this happen and will:
- Deliver on actionable/value-add insights and analyses in support of the decision automation and optimization journey of Retail Credit Risk;
- Streamline credit risk strategy, policy, and process for ANZ's Retail Credit Portfolios;
- Deliver improved decision automation, low friction and fast outcomes for customers whilst managing ANZ risk appropriately;
- Utilize analytical techniques, leveraging existing data and system infrastructure, to create more tailored decisions and offers that improve customer and business outcome;
- End to end delivery of changes from ideation to rollout, coordinating with stakeholders across the business.

What will you bring?
To grow and be successful in the role, you will ideally bring the following:
A self-starter with a high degree of initiative and autonomy to navigate ambiguity and make decisions within a broadly defined direction and set boundaries.
Strong experience solving complex business problems that require strong judgment, commercial focus, and thought leadership, drawing on various techniques and prior experiences, extrapolating, exploring, and experimenting where new challenges are encountered.
Enjoy working "on the tools", with strong working knowledge of data science, and/or business decision systems and/or reporting software tools (e.g., MS Excel, SAS, SQL, R, Python, Qlik, Tableau, Power BI, PowerCurve, TRIAD Customer Manager, AbInitio).
Solid stakeholder management experience to build and maintain strong cross-functional relationships with key personnel throughout value-chain, understanding and responding to stakeholder needs.
Excellent communication skills both written and verbal, to translate technical content into business insights, author business narratives and recommendations clearly and simply.
An effective coach who is sought out for their knowledge and experience when troubleshooting and guidance is needed.Relevant prior work experience within industries including (but not limited to): financial, professional, or consulting services, utilities, engineering, information/data providers (such as credit bureaux).
