Our
Planning and Infrastructure Economics (PIE) team supports governments, private asset owners, and investors in demand and economic modelling, master and transport planning, transport policy development, and strategic urban design.

To help navigate complex urban and regional planning, policy, and investment decision making, we take a holistic systems approach supported by data-led, evidence-based insights.

We advise on all major infrastructure asset classes including transport (rail, road and port), energy, natural resources, social infrastructure, urban/regional development and placemaking.

As a member of our high-performing team, you will:

  • Help to develop and provide strategic advice to our clients in the course of planning for infrastructure across various sectors, including in transport, education and skills, health, energy and decarbonisation, water, housing and community infrastructure
  • Undertake economic analysis and/or develop policies, strategies, feasibility studies and business cases for infrastructure investment
  • Work collaboratively, developing and building relationships across our team and with our clients
  • Contribute to sustaining our positive culture, which is integral to the success of our team
  • Be supported with comprehensive internal training opportunities, enabling you to shape your growth and development at KPMG.

Qualifications:


How are you extraordinary?

  • Experience and/or interest in providing strategic advice, policy analysis, economic analysis or shaping investment decisions in the delivery of infrastructure and precincts
  • A passion for facilitating better community outcomes through enhanced infrastructure, assets and places
  • Strong interpersonal, problem solving and written communication skills, combined with high attention to detail
  • Ability to juggle competing demands and work as a team player in a dynamic and resultsbased environment
  • Experience in quantitative analysis, costbenefit analysis, geospatial analysis, data visualisation and/or model development (desirable but not essential)
  • Tertiary qualifications in public policy, economics, urban planning, engineering, commerce, business, law or other relevant areas.
