About the Opportunity:

***We're looking for an experienced, innovative and results-driven General Manager Production to oversee the manufacture of our world-class UAVs and associated technology. Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer you will drive business initiatives around production automation, process and quality improvement, safety, reliability, maintenance, training, and staff development.


This is an opportunity for you to directly enhance our life-saving logistics service, grow our global impact and improve health outcomes for billions of people around the world.


Responsibilities:


  • Establish, optimise and sustain an ISO9100/Production Certification compliant facility capable of delivering aircraft and associated equipment in line with the product roadmap
  • Work with the Chief Regulatory Officer to attain a CASA Production Certificate and create/maintain the quality documentation as needed
  • Act as the accountable person or alternate accountable person for the Production Certificate
  • Manage and oversee, in conjunction with the Head of Safety & Standards, a total quality management system to ensure compliant production methodologies
  • Maintain a safe working environment and adherence to safety systems and company policy
  • Develop, review, and approve work instructions, standard operating procedures and checklists for the production line
  • Manage and mentor a team of aircraft builders with a defined and robust performancedriven culture
  • Oversee procurement/supply chain optimisation activities and supplier agreements
  • Implement a production performance management system, incorporating lean manufacturing methodologies, to ensure continued improvement and efficiency of production
  • Manage the procurement function to balance the production schedule and working capital investment in inventory

What you'll bring to the role:

  • 10+ years of related experience increasing management responsibility in a manufacturing environment
  • Bachelor's or Masters' education within engineering, business, supply chain or associated field.
  • Efficiency, excellent planning skills, and unparalleled attention to detail
  • An openminded, collaborative, and teamoriented attitude
  • Knowledge of Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) software
  • The ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks based on demand
