    Golding are currently seeking a SpecialistContracts Advisor to be based on site at Curragh mine near Blackwater. Reporting to the Commercial Manager, the successful candidate will provide efficient service and support in the implementation of the project's commercial and contractual requirements.

    This role will operate on a Monday to Friday roster. Camp accommodation and meals will be provided.

    • Implement, administer and monitor the authorised Golding systems for managing vendors;
    • Provide contractual and commercial advice and support to project leaders in the effective management of both the head contract and vendor contracts;
    • Prepare correspondence and reports as required to support the effective management of both the head contract and vendor contracts;
    • Identify divergence from contract scope and resolve interpretation issues with client and vendor representatives or escalate unresolved issues to your Manager;
    • Claims Management - Client and Subcontractors
      • Progress Claims – prepare and submit in line with contractual requirements
      • Change in scope – submit notice of entitlement, submit claims and agree valuation
      • Client caused cost claims (including delay claims) – submit claims and agree valuation
      • Review subcontractor progress claims and ensure there are aligned with contractual requirements
    • Analyse costs and other project data and information to provide advice to project leaders;
    • Assist with the preparation of required contractual daily, weekly and monthly reporting;
    • Administer the contracts of suppliers/subcontractors that provide services to Golding;
    • Administer contracts correspondence registers for client and subcontractors; and

    Key capability requirements:

    • Tertiary qualifications in a related field are highly preferred;
    • Demonstrated strong commercial skills;
    • Demonstrated ability to solve multiple complex matters simultaneously;
    • Experience in coal mining operations in Australia is preferred;
    • Well-developed communication skills (verbal, written and interpersonal) demonstrating the ability to interact with internal customers, external stakeholders and clients.
