    The Position


    As a Human Resources Officer, you will be the first point of contact for the business on all HR inquiries and will provide high-quality advice and support. You will work alongside the Human Resources Manager and Human Resources Advisor to support them across the full scope of the employee lifecycle. In this role, you will be undertaking a broad range of HR duties and administrative functions. This role will offer you development and career progression, offering longer-term progression as you grow with this company. The ideal candidate will have a HR background, strong administrative skills, and show initiative on tasks by being confident in making them their own.

    This workforce has around 600 employees in Queensland and will offer a candidate a very hands-on HR role which will make them a very well-rounded HR practitioner.

    Key Responsibilities


    1. Act as key point of contact for HR inquiries and provide quality and sound HR advice;
    2. Supporting the broader HR team through HR generalist administration duties, including managing email mailbox, support for contract generation and documentation;
    3. Work with a busy HR Team and be able to multitask or shift focus and reprioritize tasks as needed by the team;
    4. Respond to employee inquiries regarding leave, policies, and procedures in a timely manner;
    5. Daily maintenance of employee records, including new employees, departures and updating the HRIS and payroll systems;

    Skills and Experience


    Tertiary qualifications in human resources, management or related business discipline;

    Experience in a HR Administrator or HR Officer role will come highly regarded;

    Strong verbal and written communication skills and ability to influence, lead, coach and develop others;

    Ability to multi-task and switch focus to prioritize tasks as required;

    Strong IT skills across Microsoft Office and HRIS platforms.
