Reporting to the Director of Life Science and based in Sydney you will be in a dual sales and leadership role to actively drive sales and business development activity within the Life Science product portfolio across Australia in Pharmaceutical, Biotech, Biomedical Research and Laboratory sectors.

You will build relationships with new and existing accounts and networking with key opinion leaders in the respective sectors.


Main Responsibilities:


  • Identify new opportunities to expand the business and drive growth
  • Determine the optimal pricing strategy that balances financial goals with customer satisfaction
  • Direct marketing operations to effectively promote the business and increase revenue
  • Assist the management team in formulating strategies, tactics, and action plans to support corporate objectives
  • Advise service team of the training and knowledge required to support LS (Life Science) products as they are launched into the market
  • Consult on the development of strategy and engagement plans for Key Accounts with clear objectives and activities.
  • Assist with implementing sales / marketing strategies, key account management and project management
  • Perform thorough market analysis of the LS market, lifting awareness in new market segment whilst creating proposals for expansion of the customer base and opportunities that drive long term sustainable profitable business
  • Represent the company at various community, trade shows, seminars and/or business meetings to promote LS Products and the company promoting positive relations with partners, vendors, and distributors
  • Liaise with Commercial Operations and consult on Corporate Partnerships, Sales Effectiveness and Training, Contracts, Tenders, Bids and Projects. Participate in the development of new project proposals. Liaise with Projects in the development and implementation of new projects
  • Collaboration with Operations and Finance, aim for accuracy of inventory planning and forecasting and general internal warehousing process compliance by commercial team members

To be successful in this role you will need:

  • Leadership experience within Life Science along with a Very high level of knowledge in the area of business development ideally with capital equipment sales experience in the Life Science sector

  • Good knowledge in Life Science market demands, standards and trends
  • Outstanding consultative selling abilities and excellent interpersonal skills with executive level customers and partners
  • Management, leadership, commercial awareness and analytical skills would be highly regarded
  • Bachelor's Degree discipline i.e. BComm or Finance or Science.
  • Presentation and Impact to influence
  • Established contacts and relationships with potential customers ideal
