About Us

About the Role

We are currently seeking an experienced and professional Handyperson to join the Maintenance Department.

As a member of our team, you will be responsible for the general repair, maintenance and operational requirements of the Hotel.

You will report directly to and work closely with the Maintenance Manager and the Chief Engineer to ensure work is performed in accordance with the set standards and safe work practices.

Responsibilities:

General repairs and maintenance within the Hotel such as but not limited to changing light bulbs, fixing leaky taps, painting, clearing blocked drains / toilets, Checking Air Conditioning etc
Any other duties as assigned by Maintenace manager or Chief Engineer
Maintain exceptional customer service when dealing with our guests
Comply with all Occupational Health and Safety legislation
Maintain excellent personal presentation standards at all times
Be willing and able to work on a rotating roster with shifts including mornings, evenings, weekends and public holidays.

Skills and Experience

Minimum 3 years experience in a maintenance role
Previous Hospitality experience is an advantage
Mechnical / Electrical Trade qualifications will be a distinct advantage
Have efficient and effective time management skills
Be able to learn new information quickly with an eye for detail
Be extremely team orientated
