ABOUT THE ROLE
We are recruiting for a Cricket Operations Officer within our Events & Operations department.

This is a great opportunity for someone within Australian Cricket to support the delivery of community cricket and national talent pathway championships, ensuring they are executed with the appropriate planning and logĂ­stical support.

This is a four-month seasonal contract position, ideally from October through until the end of January.

Reporting to the Cricket Operations Lead you'll be responsible for:

  • Supporting the operational and delivery aspects of community national championships including; the National Cricket Inclusion Championships and National Indigenous Cricket Championships
  • Supporting the delivery of the national underage talent pathway championships
  • Oversee the organisation of match day requirements include; equipment, scorers, live streaming, match day paperwork, umpires and catering
  • Manage the upload of fixtures using PlayHQ, and oversee all match scores, ladders and points
  • Manage the logĂ­stical requirements for event staff and teams as required, including flights, accommodation and transport
  • Assist with administrative tasks relating to working group meetings, managing the presentation function and awards evening and managing budgets for all community and national talent pathway championships

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

  • Minimum 3 years' experience in an event related role
  • Tertiary qualifications in Sports Management or a related field (preferred by not essential)
  • Excellent planning and logistics skills
  • Ability to work with a wide range of stakeholders and manage multiple projects and responsibilities at the same time
  • Ability to build effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • A significant amount of travel will be required
