Join the dynamic team of our client, a prominent machinery manufacturer based in QLD. We are currently on the lookout for a proactive Maintenance Manager to join the QLD team.

Reporting directly to the Chief Operating Officer, you will spearhead the oversight, planning, and coordination of all maintenance, servicing, and repairs within the company.


As the linchpin of the maintenance operations, our client needs someone who can provide adept leadership, inspire motivation, and steer the day-to-day activities of our facility with finesse, ensuring optimal efficiency and effectiveness.

To excel in this role, you must bring prior experience in management or supervision, ideally within a similar capacity. We're seeking a hands-on individual, driven by self-motivation, possessing excellent communication skills, and adept at meticulous organization and planning.

Main Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and coordinate preventative maintenance schedules and procedures.
  • Liaise directly with department Managers and Supervisors to coordinate maintenance and repair work.
  • Prepare comprehensive reports and recommendations to optimize plant operations and resolve maintenance issues.
  • Conduct regular facility inspections to promptly detect and address problems.
  • Monitor and manage maintenance supplies and equipment inventories, initiating reorders as necessary.
  • Collaborate with contractors during equipment installations and commissioning.
  • Work closely with maintenance suppliers/providers to extend asset life and minimize downtime.
  • Participate handson in maintenance tasks as part of the team.
  • Ensure maintenance costs align with budgetary constraints.
  • Implement costsaving measures wherever possible.
  • Develop and oversee preventative maintenance plans and protocols.
  • Drive initiatives to reduce maintenance costs and enhance operational efficiency.

Requirements:


  • Trade Qualified fitter or similar
- +2 years of Maintenance experience

  • Proficient grasp of Tooling/machine functionalities
  • Strong hand/eye coordination
  • Demonstrated physical aptitude to meet the demands of the position
  • Competence in interpreting drawings, job specifications, and instructions
  • Proficiency in utilizing computer systems
  • Valid driver's license and forklift certification

$90, $100,000.00 per year
