Claims Specialist - Lodgement

We are currently looking for customer service experts to join our Motor Lodgement team for a 6-month contract with full time opportunities available, commencing 24 July 2023


What you'll do


Caring for our customers by understanding how stressful motor accidents and damage from weather events can be is your number one priority.

Our Motor Claims Specialists ask the right questions to make sure needs are met and work to get everyone back on the road as quickly as possible.


  • Be the first point of contact for customers who have been in an accident or damaged their cars. Providing customer first class service to getting them back on the road.
  • Consistently provide a superior customer service experience for customers, responding flexibly to their evolving needs and managing their expectations of the claim experience.
  • Be confident in making liability determinations.
  • Contribute to managing claims costs through effective pathing of vehicles to our extensive repair network, and through excess collection.
  • Reinforce the Suncorp Group's commitment to 'Protecting what matters'.
  • Feed into our ambition to be Australia's most innovative and trusted insurer.

What you'll bring

  • Previous Customer Service and Sales experience retail, contact centre or professional sales desirable.
  • Previous experience working with computers including navigating multiple systems simultaneously.
  • A passion for helping our customers and making a difference.
  • High levels of resilience and empathy.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively solve problems.
  • The ability to work from home an ergonomic set up, a phone line (nonnegotiable), internet connection, a computer/laptop, dual monitors, a webcam, a mouse and a quiet area, where you will not be disturbed during work hours.

Hours and Training
These roles are full time 6-month contracts across the following shifts. A start window means you can be rostered to start at any time between those shown below.

Option 1: Start Window hrs/d, 37.5 hrs/w
  • Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday & Friday

Option 2: Start Window hrs/d, 37.5 hrs/w
  • Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday & Friday

If successful, you will attend 5 weeks full-time training, Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 4:30pm completely onsite before moving into your allocated shift option. After the 5 week training period, there is opportunity to work from the comfort of your own home, with a requirement to attend the office once per fortnight.

Work from home requirements
These roles will be a combination of office based and work from home.

To successfully work from home, you will need the following:


  • Home phone line or VOIP connection
  • Internet connection
  • Computer or laptop with keyboard, mouse and webcam dual screens are compulsory
  • Ergonomic set up with desk and chair in a quiet, private space
  • Antivirus software_._

What we can offer you

  • A 6month contract working 7.5 hours per day for 37.5 hours per week
- $56,500 per year + 11% super (Loading available on specific shifts)
