Our client is a leading National industry body, advocating on behalf of electrical contractors across Australia.

As a trusted industry partner, this association is focussed on providing it's members with support and advice on a wide range of topics to support their business, from employing an apprentice, to safety, technical and industrial relations advice.

Based from their Fortitude Valley offices, this team of industry experts are passionate about the electrical industry and providing holistic guidance to their member base.


We are currently recruiting for a new opportunity within their Technical Team, you will be an experienced electrical tradesperson passionate giving back to the industry and assisting members with technical advice.

This role will see you based primarily in the Head Office, with opportunity to also engage externally with industry, stakeholders and members.


Technical Advisor - Electrical
Working closely with the Technical Support Manager, this role will see you providing technical advice to a wide range of electrical contractors and their employees, with your key duties including:

  • Provide quality technical advice, interpretation and guidance on a broad range of topics, including legislation, regulations, codes of practice and industry standards
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to advise, assist and formulate technical policy and recommendations to the General Manager
  • Assist in the preparation of reports, briefings, information and advice on all technical matters
  • Develop relationships with industry stakeholders and other organisations
  • Represent the association at various government, industry stakeholder and general public consultations as required
  • Assist with the development of information and topics for Technical and Safety publications and information sheets
  • Engage with membership base externally, including at industry events and member briefings
