About ATOM

Formed in 2015, ATOM was created between BP - one of the largest oil & gas companies in the world - and UGL - a leading provider of end-to-end outsourced engineering, asset management, and maintenance services in Australia.

ATOM maintains and operates 20 bulk fuel terminals across Australia, specialising in managing all aspects of terminal activities for our customers ranging from the storage and handling of bulk liquid fuels to maintenance and engineering services.

Our priorities are simple:
deliver safe, reliable, and effective terminal operations, maintenance and engineering services for our customers wherever we operate.

About the Role
Our Shift Operator handles the control, and safe & efficient running of the bulk fuel terminal.

Working across the Kwinana site and tank farm, day to day you can expect to ensure HSSE and terminal operating rules and regulations are being followed, monitor and maintain site integrity through hazards/risks identification and implementing safety controls, pipeline and tankship product receipting, product quality testing, wastewater, and general upkeep.

Our Shift Operators are also responsible for administration, reporting, and scheduling, including maintaining policies & procedures and updating work instructions.

This role is a continuous shift-based role, working 12 hour shifts to a lifestyle/sportsmans roster, with shift allowance applicable to eligible shifts.

About You

Being a go-getter with a strong team-playing attitude is essential, as is a willingness to learn new things, great time management skills and solid organisational skills.

An eye for continuous improvement is a big plus, as well having a good understanding of MS Office software.

It's desirable if you've worked in high-risk environments, or ideally bulk fuel or terminal operations roles, but if you haven't, you'll have access to a variety of learning experiences and a strong knowledgeable crew.

This is supported by a Leadership Team that lives by its values and continuously strives to cultivate an inclusive, professional and socially responsible team environment.

Flexible availability is important given the operational needs of our terminals span 24/7.

On the ATOM shift roster, on any given week you can expect to work a pattern of daytime or night-time hours, with stretches of time off between shifts to catch up on R&R.

Diversity & Inclusion

ATOM strongly values diversity in our people, so we want to hear from those who have worked across a wide array of industries and have diverse backgrounds - gender, cultural, professional experiences, etc.

ATOM has a strong focus on employee experience, wellness, workforce diversity & inclusions, and we recognise that even if you don't have fuel or rail experience, those with good experience in other industries can strengthen the way we work.
