ABOUT THE ROLE
As Design Draftsperson, you will be the driving force behind drafting initiatives


Responsibilities include:

  • Create accurate and detailed technical drawings and models using AutoCAD and 3D modelling software.
  • Collaborating with Project Managers and Engineers to create or update Mine Site Layouts and Equipment Drawings, including PFD's and P&ID's.
  • Ensure that drawings and models are accurate, complete and conform to relevant standards and regulations.
  • Integrating the latest AutoCAD designs and layouts into the Navisworks 3D Mine Site Model, encompassing Mine Site images, Contour layouts, and 3D Equipment Models.
  • Crafting detailed drawings from 3D model designs, drawings and sketches when required.
  • Imposing rigorous control over external Drawings, ensuring correct storage within Drawing Management Software.
  • Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders, including project managers, engineers, contractors and clients.
  • Providing valuable drafting support to the internal team and delivering training on robust Drawing Management Processes.

ABOUT YOU

  • Minimum Cert IV in Engineering Drafting.
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in AutoCAD, preferably in Minesite Layouts or similar.
  • Proficiency in working with Surveying Data, Point Cloud, Maps and Site Images.
  • High level skills in Xref and Layer management in AutoCAD.
  • Proficiency in Inventor.
  • Proficiency in MS Office particularly Excel and Word.
  • High attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and problemsolving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
