- **6-month Contract Role

Our client is a large NSW Government Organisation who are seeking an Asset Management Lead to join their team.


The role is responsible for managing the development and ongoing review of the portfolio strategy and strategic asset management planning for operational properties, ensuring comprehensive engagement with all relevant stakeholders, conducting assessments of risks and opportunities, and proposing sound investments and/ or business cases.

**Key Responsibilities: - Manage the development of the portfolio strategy and the Strategic Asset Management (SAM) plan for operational sites across the Department, ensuring alignment with the organisation's strategic goals and providing clear direction to the leasing strategy, accommodation planning and facilities management.

  • Evaluate risks associated with the SAM, Asset Management Plan (AMP) and investment proposals, ensuring comprehensive risk assessments and mitigation strategies are in place.
  • Engage with the Department's stakeholders and Property NSW, to identify and review new accommodation concepts and opportunities, conducting rigorous assessments of identified business opportunities.
  • Engage with the Department's divisions and agencies to identify emerging accommodation requirements as well as address ad hoc accommodation requests and make recommendations on how to meet short, medium and longterm requirements, in line with the unit.
  • Prepare investment proposals/ business cases, undertake economic and financial appraisals clearly identifying costs, benefits, risks and implementation requirements to meet internal governance and Treasury standards.
  • Assess and analyse data from conditional and functional assessments of property assets to ascertain suitability potential, economic viability and sustainability, and to inform future asset management strategies.
  • Report on the status of strategic planning objectives against agreed performance goals, evaluate effectiveness to enhance benefits in cost, efficiencies and quality outcomes.
  • Model collegiate and collaborative behaviours to achieve the greater good for the community, celebrate a diverse workforce, create an environment where people can create and thrive, or support people's wellbeing.
**Selection Criteria: - Tertiary qualifications in asset management, property management or related discipline and/or extensive relevant experience.

  • Demonstrated experience delivering highlevel strategic plans, proposals and business cases with the ability to assess market needs and identify business opportunities.


On offer is a 6 month contract at a highly sought after NSW Government Organisation, with a highly competitive daily rate.
