Role details


The Policy Advisor provides leadership, expertise and regulatory policy advice based on evidence and best practice that that significantly contributes to the development and implementation of regulatory and corporate policy and outcomes.


The Policy Advisor will be required to research and analyse national and international work in the area of early childhood and education regulatory policy to inform the development and improvement of strategic direction and performance.


About you


With a tertiary qualification in economics, public policy, social science, politics, law or other relevant discipline (or equivalent experience), you will use your expertise to support our policy function.


You are a highly accountable individual who thrives on the challenge of delivering effective outcomes in a fast-paced and changing environment with a proven ability to manage competing demands and achieve results.

We are the independent statutory authority that regulates early childhood services and registers schools to improve education and care outcomes for children and young people.

The Education Standards Board is located in the CBD in modern office facilities close to public transport and Rundle Mall.

We employ approximately 40 staff.

Special conditions
Term vacancy up to 24 months


The successful applicant will be required to satisfactorily complete a Working with Children Check prior to being employed and regularly as required.
