Be Recruitment is seeking passionate and experienced Family Preservation Caseworkers in the Parramatta Area of Sydney to join a reputable Not for Profit organisation.

About The Role

The Family Preservation Caseworker will work holistically with families referred from the Department of Communities and Justice where there are concerns of risk of significant harm.

Families accessing the service have highly complex needs that are often multifaceted and, as such, require specific and intensive support.

The case manager will utilise a range of approaches to address areas of concern and provide families with the tools they need to achieve their goals and reduce the risk of harm.

Working collaboratively across the agency and with external colleagues to support the family is central to the role's success.

About You

Degree in Social Work, Psychology, or another relevant discipline
2+ years of experience working with vulnerable young people and their families
Ability to identify and respond to risk
Embedded understanding of Trauma-Informed Practice
Experience and knowledge of theoretical approaches when working with children and families, including strengthsbased approach and attachment theory
Working With Children Check
Willingness to undergo a National Criminal History Check
Full Australian driver's license
Vaccinated or exempt from vaccination against COVID19.
