About this opportunity


Working in either Day or Night Shift, your role will cover 24/7 operations at this Greenfields, state of the art rPET recycling facility.

You will be trained efficiently in areas such as Quality and WHSE and will be accountable for following work instructions in each area.


You will play a key role in delivering a Continuous Improvement mindset and initiatives to process 28,000 tonnes of baled post-consumer PET per annum for conversion into food grade rPET resin.


Your key responsibilities will be to:

  • Comply with WHSE procedures and directions and follow reasonable instructions, always working towards Goal Zero.
  • Undertake duties safely and contribute to the safety of others through involvement in BOP's, Risk Assessments, and Incident Reporting
  • Provide relevant licences and permits to supervisor where required.
  • Contribute to product quality through inspection and testing where specified on Operators Instruction sheets.
  • Advise Supervisors or Technicians promptly of WHSE, Quality, Maintenance or People issues.
  • Work effectively to ensure quality products are produced in a timely manner and in a costeffective way.
  • Housekeeping of workstations during shift, with a final clean up at the end of the shift.

Your skills and experience

To be successful in this role, you'll have:

  • Have experience working in or want to work in 24/7 operations.
  • Have experience working within extrusion, blow/injection moulding or thermoforming within plastics manufacturing environment.
  • Mechanical aptitude.
  • Adjust, calibrate, and test equipment at the beginning of every shift to ensure proper pressure, speed, temperature, and general operation.
  • Ability to learn new processes quickly and trouble shoot issues whilst maintaining quality standards.
  • Ability to work in a fastpaced environment safety, effectively and productively.
  • Have a positive attitude and work well in a team environment.
  • Superior communication skills. A team player, with the ability to communicate and connect across all levels at Site.

Qualifications:


  • Plastics or polymer technology and/or minimum 2 years of experience working in plastics/extrusion industry. Chemical engineering/mechanical engineering or manufacturing qualification would be helpful and seen in a positive.
