Team Global Express (TGE) is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Commercial Analyst to join our Finance team.

In this role, you will be responsible for commercial business partnering with Express Parcels VIC/TAS businesses to drive improved decision making and sustained financial improvements.

You will have the opportunity to create detailed analysis, reporting and key liaison point between the operations and finance to provide insights for business improvement, drive cost savings and negotiate outcomes.

You will also have P&L ownership and reporting directly to the Commercial Manager.


Primary skills and responsibilities:

  • Responsible and accountable for the P&L reporting, variance analysis. controlling and managing the General Ledger, ensuring data integrity and monthly reconciliation of P&L accounts including commentaries.
  • Ability to utilise / develop cost models, identify synergies including cost reduction opportunities and business insights.
  • Ensure KPI reports are accurate, relevant and contribute to valueadd analysis including preparing ad hoc business analysis.
  • Assist with budgeting and forecasting activities:
  • Developing models to estimate revenue and expenditure by Business Unit.
  • Seeking input from Branch Managers and other relevant stakeholders.
  • Gathering data to support estimates and forecast trends.
  • Support the preparation of Business Cases and capital expenditure submissions.
  • Build strong relationships with Branch Managers across the State, including the Regional / National Managers.
  • Participate in meetings and contribute to discussions on financial performance including engagement between Finance, Commercial & Operations teams.
  • Working collaboratively with other parts of the business to identify synergies, cost reduction opportunities and overall performance enhancements.
About You
years Commercial analyst post graduate experience

  • CPA /CA / Accounting / Commerce or equivalent degree qualification
  • Able to work from Melbourne Airport 4 days a week
  • Advanced experience using MS Office, Power BI, TM 1 and ERP
  • Oracle
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Experience in managing budgets, resources, and projects.
  • Ability to think strategically, with a focus on results and achieving goals.
  • Experience in Project Management
  • Strong problemsolving and analytical skills
  • Able to analyse data, connect divisions, network within the company.
