About the role.**:


A key responsibility of this consultancy role is to recommend new SIEM use cases on a per-service basis, using a cyber risk analysis process to identify significant cyber security events that will enhance the organisation's situational awareness.

The consultant will not be responsible for configuring the use cases in the SIEM but will work closely with the SOC team to ensure a satisfactory outcome for the organisation.

In addition, the consultant will leverage their experience gained with our organisation to streamline the business process for identifying and onboarding new SIEM use cases.


Key responsibilities.**:


  • The consultant will also assist the broader Cyber Security Consulting team (CSC) with cyber security architecture and risk analysis work for other ICT projects
  • Working with various ICT project teams
  • Assessing business requirements and influencing solution architecture from a cyber security perspective for a variety of technologies, including VMWare on private cloud, Managed Services and SaaS solutions, Azure PaaS, and Azure IaaS.

Highly desirable.**:


  • Experience with ELK and Azure Sentinel
  • Experience with SIEM concepts in a prior organisation
  • Handson experience with designing and reviewing Azure IaaS and PaaS solutions.
  • Deep knowledge of Azure Governance, Security, Identity, Monitoring, and Automation.
  • Experience with the Microsoft Power Platform and Microsoft Dynamics will be well regarded
  • Practical experience working in Agile project environments
  • A university degree in information technology, or computer engineering
  • Industry qualifications such as a CISSP, CISM, CRISC, SANS GIAC, CCSK, EH etc
  • Technical and architectural expertise in many ICT areas
