Our team of in-house specialists bring a wealth of global experience to every lifting or shifting solution, whether it's a stand-alone lifting job or a fully integrated, multi-disciplinary work package.


Due to our continued growth and newly secured contracts, we are seeking an experienced
Operations Support Manager to join our high-performing Victoria Park team.

Reporting to the Operations Manager

, you will play a pivotal role responsible for the overall management of functional operations areas to achieve business objectives, operational targets and customer requirements.


This is a challenging and dynamic role within a diverse operational environment, where you will need excellent interpersonal skills to be successful.

Based out of our Victoria Park head office, this is a full time, permanent opportunity within a growing team.


Key Responsibilities Include:


  • Leading a team of 12 responsible for the planning, scheduling and mobilisation of our people and equipment to project site to meet the consolidated demands of all heavy lift projects and managing the delivery of multiple minor work scopes.
  • Lead from the front in promoting a culture of continuous improvement and team development, with a strong focus on safety culture & training
  • Provide leadership and direction to achieve business objectives and operational targets. Establishing and delivering on Key Performance indicators to demonstrate that project resource requirements are captured, optimised and filled Ensure achievement of contract deliverables.
  • Ensure sound financial management processes including budget forecasting, cost control, analysis and reporting. Initiate methods to maximise profitability, net contribution and improve the financial performance of assigned functional and operational areas.
  • Foster and manager relationships with customers, labour hire providers and joint venture partners
  • Building a culture that ensures and reinforces compliance with appropriate laws, regulations, key systems, policy or guidelines.
  • Provide expert advice to others within the business. This includes reviewing of job work scope, related documentation, drawings, specifications and participating in project tendering and preparation of proposals.
  • Enhance and expand the functional and operational areas by actively identifying, contributing to and taking advantage of new business opportunities and optimising recurrent business growth
  • Partner with operational project managers and business support managers to successfully deliver functional area strategies, objectives & initiatives
  • Develop relationships with potential clients to further business opportunities

Qualifications & experience

  • Trade or Tertiary Engineering Qualification is highly desirable with strong commercial acumen and analytical abilities.
  • You will need a minimum of 8 yearsexperience in a similar role with strong commercial acumen, analytical abilities and budget ownership experience.
  • Excellent people skills, with demonstrated leadership skills including the ability to facilitate collaboration between teams, whilst working autonomously.
  • Experience working with mobile/crawler cranes, trucks and specialised equipment
  • Previous experience in the Resources/Mining Industry will be beneficial
  • Drivers License
  • Right to work in Australia
