Sleeping Duck was founded in 2014 by engineers Winston Wijeyeratne and Selvam Sinnappan and is now one of Australia's fastest growing startups - and that's particularly unique because we design our own concept products entirely in house.
We are a multi award winning product company that is reinventing the way Australian's improve their sleep quality through better and more accessible high quality bedroom products.

Our 60+ person team is very passionate, and includes Product Development, Story and Marketing, Supply Chain, Customer Experience and Technology.
We are growing rapidly with significant expansion plans taking place over the next two years - making it a very exciting time for a new Showroom Experience Specialist to join the team and be part of this journey.
This is not a retail space, this is our showroom which has been purposefully built to take customers on a journey - see the inception of Sleeping Duck and our products, engage with our products, take a lay down experience on our world class mattresses, all guided by one of amazing team members who will curate a tailored experience for each customer.
What's the role all about?:
Our customers are at the heart of everything we do with our Showroom Experience Specialists setting the tone to welcome and engage new customers to discover what we hope is their best sleep solutions.
Some of which looks like:
- Chat to our customers, build rapport, encourage them to come back, guide them through the showroom, get them interacting with our products and if they're keen talk them through a purchase
- We are all about the quality of the experience rather than the sale (not KPI driven)
You will be given a warm welcome, paid training on how we do things the Sleeping Duck way in a fun and energetic environment.
People who we'd love to work with:
No specific experience required, we are really looking for positive and engaging people who may have knowledge and experience in customer service and are keen to be a part of this unique and fun showroom team.
- Engaging people who can connect with our customers
- Ideally some customer service experience such as retail or hospitality but not necessary
- Confident and unique
- Proud about where you work and sharing your knowledge with customers
- Good communicators with strong verbal and interpersonal skills
- Enthusiastic, passionate and driven we love what we do and we want a team player who loves what they do
