We are now looking for a Manager Tournament Spaces Delivery to join our Event Operations team.

About the role


Reporting to the Director Product Operations & Site Delivery, in this role you will be responsible for the strategic planning and successful delivery of site dressing, area conversions (fit-out), and operational services associated with the Australian Open across the Player, Workforce and Tournament Operational spaces.

Ultimately elevating the experience for the AO players and workforce, as well as behind the scenes content that is televised around the world.


  • In this role, you will:_
  • Lead the scoping of overlay planning & design for internal space & temporary builds.
  • Manage the procurement of furniture, fittings, and equipment (FF&E), and services to execute fitout designs.
  • Manage supplier relationships and contracts including EOIs, RFQ's, tender process and delivery of contractual agreements.
  • Manage the creation of budgets and financial reporting in line with areas of responsibility.
  • Project manage the fitout of AO spaces from conception to execution and removal.
  • Lead and develop a high performing team, creating a fun, safe and inclusive work environment
About you

  • What you will bring to the role:_
  • 5+ years' project management experience with exposure to delivery & operations of major events.
  • Excellent management and planning skills with the ability to manage multiple jobs and/or projects concurrently, to standards, budgets and deadlines.
  • Experience in contractor and supplier management, with the ability to understand, interpret and comply with contracts and contractual requirements.
  • Demonstrated experience in the design and delivery of unique spaces, with exposure to area preparations and temporary space conversions (preferred).
  • Highly collaborate nature, with strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • You must hold (or be willing to obtain) a current Police Check and Working with Children Check.


Please note - due to the timing of the AO and access to the designated spaces this role will be required to work most days over the Christmas and New Year period.
